The web app is used to program and control the Pivot.
With its clean, intuitive interface it has a minimal learning curve and it automatically calculates the optimal shooting scenario so you can concentrate on your art instead of doing calculations in the field.

Automated Control App
Custom web app automatically calculates and configures your panoramas, gigapixel photos, etc.
You simply select your camera type, lens focal length and desired image overlap and all shooting parameters are automatically calculated and optimized.

XML FILE (PAPYWIZARD)
Every time you capture a panorama or gigapixel. the Pivot generates a XML file that you can use with PTGui and other stitching software for faster and more accurate stitching.
Unique Camera Feedback
The Pivot receives feedback from the camera during the execution of the capture sequence and uses it to automatically adjust timings and other parameters.

The Pivot is compatible with modern mirrorless and dSLR cameras that have a wired shutter release.
Shutter Cable
You’ll need a cable to connect your camera to the Pivot. These are inexpensive and widely available at local or online retailers. Simply search for:

One end of the cable is a 2.5mm jack that connects to the Pivot and the other fits your camera’s wired shutter port.
Smartphones & Tablets
The Pivot uses a web app for wireless configuration and control over a WiFi connection. You do NOT have to install any apps on your smartphone, tablet or other device.
This makes the Pivot universally compatible. All you need is a device with WiFi and a web browser. It works with:
Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.
And your configuration parameters are saved on the controller and are accessible next time even if you use a different device.
PC Sync Port & Cable
This is a recommended but optional item.
The Pivot can receive feedback from your camera through the camera’s flash pc-sync port and automatically adjust several parameters.
If your camera does not have a flash PC sync port, you’ll have to add one through a hot shoe adapter. They are inexpensive and widely available through local or online retailers.

The Pivot requires a DC power supply with the following specifications:

Most laptop power adapters meet the above requirements or you can use the optional battery pack.
Battery Pack
An optional battery pack & charger can be ordered during checkout.
Batteries are only available for EU countries and they will be shipped separately directly from our supplier in China. Do not order batteries from outside the EU, contact us and we’ll direct you to suppliers where you can order directly.
Tripods
A sturdy tripod is required with a standard 3/8-16 screw.
Supports tripods with a column diameter up to 5cm. To use it with wider tripods, leveling bases, etc you can purchase an optional 5cm riser available to order during checkout.
